Before and After School Math and/or Literacy Help

Some registrations forms were sent home on Friday for the opportunity to access extra literacy and math help for the intermediate students at Goodfellow. If your child is interested, please fill out as much of the form as possible, and we are happy to fill out the OEN number and get it signed by the principal so your child can attend. We need a minimum of 12 students to register for each program so we can offer these extra help times! 

Do you need some help with literacy? Need a quiet place to work on homework, complete reading responses or work on other tasks? Need some assistance with editing and revising? Not sure what book is right for you or how to organize your reading and writing?

Miss Duff will be available to help after school from 3:40-4:40pm. Please fill out the form if you and your parents think you would benefit from joining us. Come every day or only sometimes; this is time for you to work on your literacy skills! Meet in Room 132 with your work and a snack. Once you return the form, we will add you to the register. Come when you need to and get the support that will help you succeed! Earn that Magic 15!!

Origami Bookmarks and the latest in newspaper fashion...

Today was another day to get to know each other a bit better. While the Catapult Challenge didn't result in a clear winner, I think we all learned that group work requires a true team effort. The newspaper fashion show on the other hand was a complete success. Thanks to Alex, Zach S., Adam, Jadyn, and Trent for being such great models.

While the origami bookmarks aren't all finished, they are off to a great start.

Don't forget to have your forms read, signed, and returned ASAP! Also, "I am..." wave art is due Monday, and your Multiple Intelligences Quiz and Graph is due TOMORROW!

First Day!

Well folks, the first day of grade 8 is in the books! Only 190 or so school days until next summer (yay?). I enjoyed learning a little bit about each of you today, and I hope you did the same. 

Don't forget that your Multiple Intelligences quiz and bar graph are due on Thursday, and the "I Am..." Wave Art is due on Monday. Don't worry, there will be time to work on them this week. 

Also, get all those forms read, signed and returned ASAP!
